These are the last of this years Christmas Cards.  The Snowmen on these cards is from the Snow One Like You stamp set by Gina K.  They were colored with a variety of Copic Markers.  The sentiment on the cards is one that I picked up last year.  The snowflakes in the background of both cards are from the Snow One Like You and Simple Snowflakes Gina K stamp sets.

Christmas Cards 2013 Cards #6 and #7

Had an unexpected day off work, so I decided to make a few more cards.  Both of the cards are 4 x 5.5.  For the first card, I used the Elizabeth Craft Designs Mitten Dies.  I covered a piece of white cardstock with Sookwang double sided tape, then cut the Mittens twice.  For the mittens I used Peacock Blue Glitter Ritz For the cuffs, snowflakes and bow, I used Warm Highlights.

For the second card, I used the mittens from the  Stampin' Up Make a Mitten stamp set.  These were stamped using Memento Danube Blue, and then cut out ( I don't have the punch).  The background of the card was embossed with the Snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Christmas Cards 2013, Cards #2 and #3

For these cards, I used Greenhouse Society stamps, for both the Pine cones and sentiment.  For the first card, I stamped the pine code with versamark, and then embossed with Stampendous detailed Gold embossing powder.  The pine cone was colored with a Copic marker (E25).   The only difference with the second card, was that detailed Black embossing powder was used for the pine cone.

Here is the last of the Halloween Cards.  This card is 4 x 5.5 inches.

For this card I used both the October 31st and Charmed Cricut Cartridges.  The window is cut from the October 31st Cartridge at 4.75 inches.  I backed the window with orange card stock stamped with a tree.  The ghosts are from the Charmed cartridge, cut at 1.75, 1.5 and 1 inches.

Halloween Card 3 and 4

For these cards, I used the October 31st Cricut Cartridge.  Both cards are 4 x 5.5.

For the first card, I cut the pumpkin at 2 inches, and matted it using black (2.5 x 2.5) and orange (2 7/16 x 2 3/8)  paper.  I used a white gel pen to outline around the pumpkin.  I added the sentiment also matted with black paper.  I used pop dots to raise the pumpkin panel over the sentiment.

For the second card, I used the same pumpkin, but cut at 3 inches and matted with black (3.5x3.5) and orange (3.25x3.25).  I outlined the pumpkin with a white gel pen.

Halloween - Card 1

Here is the first of several cards I made for Halloween.  I used the Close to My Heart Artiste and Charmed Cricut cartridges for this card.

The bat, cat and tombstone are from the Artiste cartridge, and the ghost is from the Charmed cartridge.  The bat was cut at twice 5.25 inches, once in black and once with a patterned paper.  I used the pattern paper for the inside of the wings.  The cat and tombstone were cut at two inches, and the ghost at 1.5 inches.

This is one of my favorite cards made this year, and was fun putting together.

Pinterest Inspired Birthday Card

I found a similar card to this one on Pinterest (http://www.pinterest.com/pin/392165080023198958/).

I have the Swallowtail Butterfly stamp from Stampin' Up, and decided to do something similar.  For this card, I stamped the swallowtail and sentiment images with VersaMark, and then embossed with a Recollections Sapphire embossing powder.  The card base is 5 x 6.5.  The blue mat was cut a 1/4 inch smaller.  I trimmed the butterfly at a slight angle to 4.5 x 4.25, and the sentiment to 4.5 x 4 3/8.

Northwood Stamp and Copic (Man Fishing in Canoe with Dock)

I've been creating cards, but none have been for my husband!  So this past weekend, I created this card for him.

This card is 4.25 x 5.5.  The stamp is from Northwood Rubber Stamps - P9104 (Man Fishing in Canoe with Dock), stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.  I used my Copic markers to color the stamped image.  To make the water shimmery, I added a bit of glitter to the water with a clear atyouSpica glitter pen. The image was then mounted on black card stock.  The background was done with brown card stock, stamped with a Black Penny wood grain stamp, stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa.

Christmas Card with WPlus9 and Cheery Lynn Dies

I recently ordered the WPlus9 Quilt dies and had to try them.  I used paper I had at hand (and it was from a recently made Christmas card).  The doily in the background is a Cherry Lynn die, and was
cut in half.

This card is 4 x 5.5.  The cat tail and sentiment are a Greenhouse Society stamp, embossed in black.  The words were stamped using a mask with a Recollections stamp using Memento London Fog.

Lea France Templates

I love to scrapbook ALL of my pictures.  Many of my pages have more than 6 pictures on them.  Last month at CKC in Lancaster, I got some Lea France Templates.  These are wonderful for getting multiple pictures on one page, in an organized manner.   I will be using these a lot for my pages!

Here is a sample using the Honey Comb Template:

Here is a sample using the Grid Template.

50th Birthday Card

Here is the card that I designed for my sisters 50th Birthday.

Front of the card:

Inside of the card:

The card is 5.5 x 4.25.  The card base is black.  I used a piece of 5.25 x 4 card stock, and embossed it with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The 50's were cut from Lyrical Letters, cut at .75".  For the balloons, I used Sookwang double sided tape on white card stock.  I then cut the balloons from Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge at 2.5".  Since the card base was black, for the inside I simply added a 5.25" x 4" piece of white card stock, a few more balloons, and another 50.

Birthday Card

Here is a card that I made for my Dad.  He is an avid bicyclist, so the paper was a great find.

For this card, I welded 4 circles together on my Gypsy, to create the small envelope.  The small card was embossed with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Strawberries

Here is a card that was inspired from a card on Pinterest.

The strawberries were cut from the Preserves Cricut cartridge at 1.5 inches.  They were then embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder.  For the background, several 1/4" strips of brown paper were cut, and then woven.  The label at the bottom is from the Fabulous Finds Cricut cartridge.

Birthday Flowers

Recently I took the Copic Standard Certification class (for more information on the classes and locations: http://www.copicmarker.com/certification), and we used the Copic Airbrush system.  I airbrushed the outer and inner flowers with R85.  When I got home, I realized that the flowers could be stacked and used on a card.

The flowers were stacked and attached with a brad.  The flourish and sentiment were stamped with Versamark, and then embossed with Stampendous detailed white embossing powder.

Stampendous Inspired Card

Here is a card was inspired by a post on the Stampendous Blog.  The original post can be found here: http://stampendousblog.wordpress.com/.  I really liked the card and the colors, and fortunately I had the stamp, the embossing powders, the ribbon, the brads and the card stock.

First I decided to make the card as described in the blog. I modified the card slightly, but basically followed the instructions provided on the Stampendous Blog.

Once I knew I had the technique down, I used a stamp from Greenhouse Society.  For this card, I used a wine colored background, and a pink flower.  I omitted the brads for this version.  Overall, I liked the silver on the wine backgroung better, but liked the red flower better.

Embossing and Copics Part 2

Here is another card, similar to the one last week.  It uses the same Greenhouse Society stamp, but this time I stamped the image several times with VersaMark and embossed with detailed white embossing powder.  Again I used a Copic marker in a similar color to the background paper to highlight the flowers.

It was hard to get a good picture of this card, the background is yellow, with white embossing.

Embossing and Copics

For this card, I wanted to use a similar color Copic marker as the background paper.  I used a Greenhouse Society stamp, VersaMark and Detailed White embossing powder.  After embossing the flowers and sentiment, I used a Copic marker in a similar color to the background paper and highlighted the flower.

Pinterest Inspired

I saw a similar card on Pinterest, and thought I could make that.  I had butterfly punches, and the same Cuttlebug Embossing folder.  Here is my version, and I am not sure I like this one, and my need to re-make it.

The card is 4 x 5.5.  I embossed the background with D'vine Swirl cuttlebug folder, then used a Martha Stewart punch all over the page butterfly punch.  These were then backed with another color paper.  The smaller butterflies were cut from the Paper Trimming Cricut Cartridge.    The background was lightly inked.

3 Hydrangeas

I love Hydrangeas and when I saw this stamp I knew I had to have it.  These cards are 4 x 5.5. The stamp used was from Stampin' Up, and colored with Copic Markers in pinks, blues and purples.

I heat embossed some of the eggs, and used Glitter Ritz micro-fine glitter on the rest.

Triple Stamped Valentines Day Card

Here is a triple stamped Valentines Day card.  I still need to work a bit on stamping evenly!

This card is 4.25 x 5.5.  I used a combination of Memento and Ranger Distressed inks.  The sizes for the layers are:
  • 2 x 3.25, mat size 2.25 x 3.5
  • 3 x 4.25, mat size 3.25 x 4.5
  • 4 x 5.25, mat size 4.25 x 5.5
Lightly tack the three main layers together, then add the stamps.  When done, simply separate the layers, and add the mats.

Copics and Embossing

Here is another card where the flower and the leaves were embossed on velum and cut out.  For this card, I used my Copic markers and colored the flowers on the back side.  They were then attached to the card stock, a ribbon and sentiment added.

An Embossed Card

For this card (4 x 5.5), I embossed the flowers on velum, cut around them, then attached the flowers to the card stock, and added a ribbon.  I haven't decided the occasion for it yet, so there is still no sentiment.
