Halloween with Lawn Fawn

When I first saw the "How You Bean" stamps and dies by Lawn Fawn, I thought - cute, but I have enough Easter realted stamps.  Then they came out with the Candy Corn add-on.  I knew I had to have that, which of course made me get the "How you Bean" stamps and dies as well!  I mean I can always use more Easter stamp - right?

But for Halloween - this set is great!  Here some of the cards I made:

I used the following to make the cards:

  • Lawn Fawn - Candy Corn add-on, stamps and dies
  • Lawn Fawn - How You Bean, stamps and dies
  • Lawn Fawn - Perfectly Plaid Fall Paper
  • Mama Elephant - Bootastic Stamp set
  • Copic Markers- C0, C1, C3, Y06, YG07
  • Memento - London Fog and Tangelo
  • Acetate
  • Sookwang double sided tape

To make the cards, I stamped the candycorn in London Fog ink, and then colored them with the Copic Markers.  These were then cut out with the matching dies.  On a piece of light orange paper, I stamped the jar for the How You Bean set.  The lid for the jar was stamped on white paper, colored with Copic Markers and cut with the matching die.  I added double sided tape to the acetate, and cut the jar out.  I then added the Candy Corn to the jar, added the jar cut from the acetate, then the lid to the jar.  The individual Candy Corn was added last.  The panel was then cut to size and added to the plaid background.  The entire piece was added to the card base.  I then stamped the Sentiment from the Mama Elephant Bootastic set to complete the card.

Mama Elephant Bootastic and Lawn Fawn Spooktacular Halloween Card

Here is another Halloween Card I made with the Mama Elephant Bootastic and Lawn Fawn Spooktacular stamp sets.   I found several layouts similar to what I used on Pinterest.  I found that both of these stamp sets work well together.

For this card, I used:
  • Mama Elephant Bootastic Stamp Set and Matching Dies
  • Lawn Fawn Spooktacular Stamp Set
  • Copic Markers C1, C3, C5, R29, R59, E50, E53, Y06, YR14, E35, Y31

Bird Crazy Halloween Cards

Love these Crazy Birds!  They are quick and easy to color, and the matching dies are wonderful.

Here are two Halloween Cards I made with the Bird Crazy stamps and dies.  I also used Crazy Things and Crazy Talk.

For these cards I used:
  • Bird Crazy, stamps and dies
  • Crazy Things
  • Crazy Talk
  • Distress Ink (a variety of colors)
  • Staz-on Black
To make the cards, I stamped the birds twice with the Staz-on ink, then colored them with the Distress Inks.  Then using the matching dies, I cut the birds, eyes and wings.  I then stamped and colored the broom, hat and pumpkin.  For these, I needed to fussy cut them, since I don't have the matching dies. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of scrap paper.

I assembled the cards, using pop-dots for the eyes and layering all of the other images.  The moon was cut from a piece of patterned paper.  There was a blank area on the card, so  I stamped a few bats (from an old Martha Stewart set) in black.

2014 Halloween Card 4

For the card, I used:
  • Wild Card Cricut Cartridge

To make the card, I cut the card from the Wild Card Cartridge.  I modified the sizing with my Gypsy to have a finished card at 4.25 x 5.5.  The blackout image, grass and stem were also cut with the same sizing.

I only used the pumpkin portion of the blackout image and attached it to the card.  I then attached the stem and grass.  To make the eyes and mouth stand out a bit, I added Wink of Stella Clear.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark, embossing powder added and then heat embossed.

Halloween Card 3 and 4

For these cards, I used the October 31st Cricut Cartridge.  Both cards are 4 x 5.5.

For the first card, I cut the pumpkin at 2 inches, and matted it using black (2.5 x 2.5) and orange (2 7/16 x 2 3/8)  paper.  I used a white gel pen to outline around the pumpkin.  I added the sentiment also matted with black paper.  I used pop dots to raise the pumpkin panel over the sentiment.

For the second card, I used the same pumpkin, but cut at 3 inches and matted with black (3.5x3.5) and orange (3.25x3.25).  I outlined the pumpkin with a white gel pen.

Halloween - Card 1

Here is the first of several cards I made for Halloween.  I used the Close to My Heart Artiste and Charmed Cricut cartridges for this card.

The bat, cat and tombstone are from the Artiste cartridge, and the ghost is from the Charmed cartridge.  The bat was cut at twice 5.25 inches, once in black and once with a patterned paper.  I used the pattern paper for the inside of the wings.  The cat and tombstone were cut at two inches, and the ghost at 1.5 inches.

This is one of my favorite cards made this year, and was fun putting together.
