Gina K Designs Mothers Day Card

We recently got back from w 2 week vacation, and I realized that I was behind on making cards for certain holidays and events!  I totally missed Easter - and I had some ideas in mind!  At least I haven't missed Mothers Day!  Here is the card I made:

I used the following for the card:
  • Gina K Watercolor Flowers Stamp Set
  • Gina K Ink - Jelly Bean Green, Passionate Pink, Peach Bellini, Sweet Mango
  • Memento Dandelion Ink
  • Close To My Heart Just to Say Stamp Set
  • Gina K Jelly Bean Green Card Stock
To make this card, I stamped the flowers with the Gina K ink.  I had to carefully not include the centers, and these were then stamped with the Dandelion ink.  The sentiment was stamped with the Jelly Bean Green Ink.  The panel was then mounted to Jelly Bean Green card stock, and everything added to the card base to complete the card.

Batik card

I recently saw how to make a card which looks like its batik.  I wish I had saved the site, since I want to do this again!  (I have to remember to save the site when I find a technique I like!).  I have a few more stamps that I think will work for this technique.  I also want to try different color combinations.

Here is the card:

To make the card I used:

  • Zing Clear Embossing Powder
  • Stampendous Detail White Embossing Powder
  • Versamark
  • Stampin' Up Eastern Blooms Stamp set
  • Memento Ink - Dandelion, Danube Blue, Rose Bud, Sweet Plum
  • Homey Bee Sending You Sentiments Stamp set
To make the card, I sponged on the yellow and pink ink randomly around the card base.  The flowers were then stamped in Versamark, embossing powder added and heat set.  I then folded the card randomly.  The blue and purple ink was then added.  The image was mounted to purple card stock, and then added to the card base.  The sentiment was stamped in Versamark, embossing powder added, and heat set.  These were then added to the card.

Get Well Soon!

I love lighthouses - and collect lighthouse stamps.  I figured it was about time to begin using them.  Here is a get well card made using one of my many lighthouse stamps!

I used the following for the card:
  • Stampendous Lighthouse stamp
  • Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares Dies
  • Memento London Fog Ink
  • Faber Castell Polychromos Colored Pencils
  • Tim Holtz Crazy Talk Stamp Set
  • Versmark
  • Stampendous Detailed White Embossing Powder
To make the card, I stamped the image with the London Fog ink, and colored with the colored pencils.  I then cut the image with a Stitched Square dies, and added to a card base.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark, embossing powder added and heat set to complete the card.
