2014 Halloween Card 4

The forth Halloween card.  This card is 4.25 x 5.25.

For the card, I used:
  • Wild Card Cricut Cartridge
  • WOW Copper Pearl Embossing Power
  • Versamark
  • Recollection Halloween Stamp Set
  • Wink of Stella Clear
To make the card, I cut the card from the Wild Card Cartridge.  I modified the sizing with my Gypsy to have a finished card at 4.25 x 5.5.  The blackout image, grass and stem were also cut with the same sizing.

I only used the pumpkin portion of the blackout image and attached it to the card.  I then attached the stem and grass.  To make the eyes and mouth stand out a bit, I added Wink of Stella Clear.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark, embossing powder added and then heat embossed.

2014 Halloween Card 3

Here is the third cad for the year.  This one is 4 x 5.5.

For the card, I used:
  • Paper Trimmings Cricut
  • Stampendous Detailed Black Embossing Powder
  • Stampendous Detailed White Embossing Powder
  • WOW Glow in the Dark Embossing Powder
  • Hampton Arts Halloween Stamp set
  • Recollections Halloween Stamp set
  • Martha Stewart Halloween Stamp Set
  • Versamark
To make the card, I cot the spider web and background from the Paper Trimmings Cricut Cartridge.  I adhered both together, and then attached them to the card front.  Although its not visible in the picture, I then used a Versamark pen, covered the spider in ink, and added the Glow in the Dark Embossing powered and heat embossed it.  I added the eyes with the Versamark pen, and then added Detailed White embossing powered and heat embossed.  The small webs in the corners were stamped with Versamark, then Detailed Black embossing powered was added and heat embossed.

Inside of the card:

The spider webs on the inside of the card are from the Martha Stewart Halloween stamp set, and the sentiment is from a Recollections Halloween stamp set.

2014 Halloween Card 2

Here is the second of the Halloween cards I made.  This one is similar to ones I have made in the past.

For the card, I used:
  • Paper Trimmings Cricut Cartridge
  • Wild Card Cricut Cartridge
  • WOW Copper Pearl Embossing Power
  • Versamark
  • Recollections Halloween Stamp Set
To make the card, I cut the witch and moon from the Paper Trimmings Cricut cartridge at 3.5 inches. The bat is from the Wild Card cartridge and a left over from a previous project.  I adhered the witch and bat to the moon, then to the card front.  I stamped the sentiment on black paper with Versmark, then added the Copper Perl Embossing Powder and heat embossed.  I cut the black paper in a banner shape to 1.5 by 3.75 inches and attached it to the card front.

2014 Halloween Card 1

Its that time of year again!  Every year I make Halloween cards for the grand kids.  Here is the first of the cards made this year.

This card is 4 x 5.5, and one of the simpler cards to make. For the card, I used:
  • Paper Trimmings Cricut cartridge
  • Hampton Art Halloween Stamp set
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
To make the card, I cut the image (and the background for the image) from the Paper Trimmings Cricut Cartridge at 4.5 inches.

I adhered the image to the background for the image, and then to the card front.  I stamped the sentiment from a Hampton Art stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Stampendous Hydrangea Garden

Here is a card map using Hydrangea Garden Stamp set and dies.  This card is 5 x 6.5.

For the card, I used:
  • Stampendous Hydrangea Garden Stamp set and coordinating dies
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Wink of Stella Clear
  • Glossy Accents
  • Copic Markers E33, G21, G24, G46, BV000, BV00, BV11, BV13, Y06, Y13, Y15, Y17, B24, YR31
To make the card, I stamped all of the elements from the stamp set on white card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I then colored the flowers with BV000, BV00, BV11, and BV13.  For the center of the flowers I used YR31.  I then added Wink of Stella to the centers, and finally covered the centers with Glossy Accents.  The leaves were colored with G21, G24, and G46 (my favorite combo for leaves).  For the butterfly, I used E33 for the body, B24 for the eye, and Y06, Y13, Y15, and Y17 for the wings.  I covered the wings with Wink of Stella for a glittery look.

I then cut all of the elements out using the coordinating dies.
I put the card together with pop dots to add additional dimension to the finished card.

Birthday Starburst Card

I've seen several Starburst cards on Pinterest.  I thought it would be a great way to use up some scraps.  Turns out its a very easy and quick card to make.  Here is my version of a Starburst card.

This card is 4 x 5.5.  To make the Starburst, I cut strips of card stock into rectangles that were 1.5 x 4 inches.  These were then cut diagonally into triangles.  I then places these on the card base so that the pints of the triangles meet in the middle of the card.

The stamp is from the Close to My Heart Cricut Artiste stamp set, colored with Copics (B45 and E27).  Wink of Stella Clear Glitter brush was used for the frosting.

Grandsons Birthday Card

Here is a card that I made for our grandson.  The card is 4.25x5.5.  The base of the card is black, and all of the cuts are from the Artist Cricut cartridge.  I used a variety of sizes and gears for this card.

Here is the front of the card:

Halloween/Fall Card

This card is 4 x 5.5, and uses Spellbinders and Elizabeth Craft Designs dies.

The oval and scalloped oval were cut using the largest of the Spellbinders Classic Ovals and the largest of the Classic Scalloped Ovals.

For the base of the pumpkins, I covered a white piece of card stock with Sookwang tape before cutting them out using Elizabeth Craft Design Pumpkins dies.  The base was then covered with Warm Highlight Glitter Ritz was added to the base, and then colored with Copic Markers.  The overlay was cut using dark brown card stock.

Halloween Card 5

Here is the last of the Halloween Cards.  This card is 4 x 5.5 inches.

For this card I used both the October 31st and Charmed Cricut Cartridges.  The window is cut from the October 31st Cartridge at 4.75 inches.  I backed the window with orange card stock stamped with a tree.  The ghosts are from the Charmed cartridge, cut at 1.75, 1.5 and 1 inches.

Halloween - Card 1

Here is the first of several cards I made for Halloween.  I used the Close to My Heart Artiste and Charmed Cricut cartridges for this card.

The bat, cat and tombstone are from the Artiste cartridge, and the ghost is from the Charmed cartridge.  The bat was cut at twice 5.25 inches, once in black and once with a patterned paper.  I used the pattern paper for the inside of the wings.  The cat and tombstone were cut at two inches, and the ghost at 1.5 inches.

This is one of my favorite cards made this year, and was fun putting together.

Pinterest Inspired Birthday Card

I found a similar card to this one on Pinterest (http://www.pinterest.com/pin/392165080023198958/).

I have the Swallowtail Butterfly stamp from Stampin' Up, and decided to do something similar.  For this card, I stamped the swallowtail and sentiment images with VersaMark, and then embossed with a Recollections Sapphire embossing powder.  The card base is 5 x 6.5.  The blue mat was cut a 1/4 inch smaller.  I trimmed the butterfly at a slight angle to 4.5 x 4.25, and the sentiment to 4.5 x 4 3/8.

Northwood Stamp and Copic (Man Fishing in Canoe with Dock)

I've been creating cards, but none have been for my husband!  So this past weekend, I created this card for him.

This card is 4.25 x 5.5.  The stamp is from Northwood Rubber Stamps - P9104 (Man Fishing in Canoe with Dock), stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.  I used my Copic markers to color the stamped image.  To make the water shimmery, I added a bit of glitter to the water with a clear atyouSpica glitter pen. The image was then mounted on black card stock.  The background was done with brown card stock, stamped with a Black Penny wood grain stamp, stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa.

Christmas Card with WPlus9 and Cheery Lynn Dies

I recently ordered the WPlus9 Quilt dies and had to try them.  I used paper I had at hand (and it was from a recently made Christmas card).  The doily in the background is a Cherry Lynn die, and was
cut in half.

Another Sympathy Card

Unfortunately, I recently needed another sympathy card.  This card was inspired by two different cards.  (See them here:
http://glendamollet.blogspot.ca/2013/01/serene-silhouettes-sympathy-card.html and
http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/7e/ac/6f/7eac6fa7f20dd85fd450946aa4d6dd54.jpg)

This card is 4 x 5.5.  The cat tail and sentiment are a Greenhouse Society stamp, embossed in black.  The words were stamped using a mask with a Recollections stamp using Memento London Fog.

50th Birthday Card

Here is the card that I designed for my sisters 50th Birthday.

Front of the card:

Inside of the card:

The card is 5.5 x 4.25.  The card base is black.  I used a piece of 5.25 x 4 card stock, and embossed it with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The 50's were cut from Lyrical Letters, cut at .75".  For the balloons, I used Sookwang double sided tape on white card stock.  I then cut the balloons from Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge at 2.5".  Since the card base was black, for the inside I simply added a 5.25" x 4" piece of white card stock, a few more balloons, and another 50.

50th Birthday Card

My sister is turning 50 this year.  I was designing a card for her, when my husband said to make it simple - here is his idea.

Inside the card:

The card is 5.5 x 4.25,  The base was embossed with the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder.  The numbers on the front are from Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridge, cut at 2.5".  The numbers on the inside of the card are also from Lyrical Letters cut at .75", and welded.  For the balloon, I used Sookwang double sided tape over white card stock, then cut using Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge, 2.5".  Red glitter was then added.

Birthday Card

Here is a card that I made for my Dad.  He is an avid bicyclist, so the paper was a great find.

For this card, I welded 4 circles together on my Gypsy, to create the small envelope.  The small card was embossed with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Strawberries

Here is a card that was inspired from a card on Pinterest.

The strawberries were cut from the Preserves Cricut cartridge at 1.5 inches.  They were then embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder.  For the background, several 1/4" strips of brown paper were cut, and then woven.  The label at the bottom is from the Fabulous Finds Cricut cartridge.

Stampendous Inspired Card

Here is a card was inspired by a post on the Stampendous Blog.  The original post can be found here: http://stampendousblog.wordpress.com/.  I really liked the card and the colors, and fortunately I had the stamp, the embossing powders, the ribbon, the brads and the card stock.

First I decided to make the card as described in the blog. I modified the card slightly, but basically followed the instructions provided on the Stampendous Blog.

Once I knew I had the technique down, I used a stamp from Greenhouse Society.  For this card, I used a wine colored background, and a pink flower.  I omitted the brads for this version.  Overall, I liked the silver on the wine backgroung better, but liked the red flower better.

Pinterest Inspired

I saw a similar card on Pinterest, and thought I could make that.  I had butterfly punches, and the same Cuttlebug Embossing folder.  Here is my version, and I am not sure I like this one, and my need to re-make it.

The card is 4 x 5.5.  I embossed the background with D'vine Swirl cuttlebug folder, then used a Martha Stewart punch all over the page butterfly punch.  These were then backed with another color paper.  The smaller butterflies were cut from the Paper Trimming Cricut Cartridge.    The background was lightly inked.
