Bird Crazy Anniversary Card

Here is a card I made for my husband for our Anniversary.  Unlike most of my cards, this on is 5.25 x 6.5.  I needed the extra space for both birds.

I used the following to make the card:

  • Tim Holtz Bird Crazy Stamps and Dies
  • Tim Holtz Crazy Things Stamps and Dies
  • Copic Markers:  E50, E53, E57, E59, Y11, Y13, Y15, YR16, YR18, YG63, R20, R21, R24, R29, R59, R81, R83, R85, B0000, B95, B97, C3, C5
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Lawn Fawndementials Mermaid
  • Seaside Stampin' Ink Cloud Stamp
  • Distress Ink - Lowed Lawn
  • Lawn Fawn Scripty Sayings Stamp Set
  • Taylored Expressions Many Mini Occasions Stamp Set

To make the card, I stamped the birds with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink,  I also stamped the accessories that I would be using.  The birds and the accessories were then colored with the various Copic Markers.  I then cut out the birds and accessories using the dies.

The grass on the card base was colored with Mowed Lawn, and the sky was stamped with a Cloud stamp and Mermaid ink.  The Birds and accessories were added, a bit of shadow added under the birds, and the the sentiments added to complete the card.

Bird Crazy - Belated Birthday Card

I forgot a birthday!  It usually doesn't happen, but I was able to quickly make this card:

I used the following to make the card:

  • Bird Crazy Stamps and Dies
  • Crazy Things Stamps and Dies
  • Crazy Talk
  • Glossy Accents
  • Zig Kuretake Watercolors
  • Watercolor Paper
  • Versafine Black Onyx Ink
To make the card, I stamped the bird twice with Versafine Black Onyx ink.  (Twice so that I could cut the eyes beak and wing separately). The hat, gift and balloon were also stamped the Versfine Black Onyx ink.  I used the Kuretake watercolors to color the images.  Since I have never used the Kuretake watercolors, I chose some random colors.  Once all of the images were dry, I cut them with the dies.

To assemble the card, I used pop dots for the eyes, beak and wing.  I also used pop dots to the bird when attaching it to the card base.  The sentiment was stamped and bakers twine added for the balloon string to complete the card.

Bird Crazy Christmas

I just can't seem to get enough of the Bird Crazy Stamps!  With the Crazy Things accessories, these birds can be used for any occasion!  Here are the cards, each is 4.25 x 5.5:

I kept a lot of the elements the same between the cards.  Here are some close-ups:

For these cards I used the following:

  • Bird Crazy Stamps and Dies
  • Crazy Things Stamps and Dies
  • Memento Cottage Ivy, Tuxedo Black
  • Copic R20, R21, R24, R27, R29, E04, E93, N0, N2, B21, B24, B29, BG000, BG02, YR12, YR14, G20, G21, G24, YG63, YG67
  • Stampin' Up Lovely As A Tree
  • Ranger Texture Paste
  • Memory Box Winter Tiny Snowflakes
  • Wink of Stella Clear
To make the cards, I stamped the birds, the Santa hats, and packages with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  These were then colored with the Copic Markers. Wink of Stella was used on the packages and the trim on the hats. I then used the associated dies and die cut the birds, hats and packages.

For the background, I stamped the trees with Memento Cottage Ivy, using first and second generation stamping.  I then added the snowflakes using the Winter Tiny Snowflakes stencil and Ranger Texture Paste.  Once dry, I added the birds.  The entire piece was then added to the card base to complete the card.
