Rainbow Thanks Card

Thanks to @czdesign for this idea!  I saw a very similar idea in one of her videos and and blog posts (see it here).  I also decided to use Cryogen Curious Metallic White paper which can handle a bit of water, has a little sparkle, and is whiter than the watercolor paper I have.  Its a paper I frequently use for Copic and Colored Pencil work.

I used the following for this card:

  • Taylored Expressions - Thanks die
  • Gansi Tambi Watercolors
  • Gina K Designs - Master Layouts 2
  • Gina K Designs - Angel Aura Rhinestones
  • Cryogen Curious Metallic White paper
To make the card, I cut the Thanks out 3 times.  These were then glued together.  I used a rainbow selection of the watercolors to apply to the background.  Once dry,  it was cut with one of the dies from Master Layouts 2.  The mat was also cut from a die in the same set.  These were then attached to the card base.  The rhinestones were added to complete the card.

Dragonfly Birthday (Gina K)

I needed a more masculine birthday card, and the stamp set from Gina K - The Wetlands 2 worked great!  I added Wink of Stella to the wings, although it didn't show well in the photo.

I used the following for the card:
  • Gina K - Master Layouts 1
  • Gina K - The Wetlands 2 stamp set
  • Gina K - Black Onyx ink
  • Wink of Stella - Clear
  • Versamark
  • Stampendous Detail Black Embossing Powder
  • Distress Ink - Lucky Clover, Mermaid Lagoon
To make the card, I stamped the images on white card stock with black ink.  I then re-stamped with Versamark.  Black embossing powder was then added and heat set.  The background was then done using blender brushes with the distress ink.  The image and black mat were then cut using Master Layouts 1. These are added to the card base.  Wink of Stella was added to the wings to complete the card.

Valentines Day card

I have no small heart stamps and no heart background papers!  I needed one or the other for the Valentines day card I was creating.  So what was  I going to do?  I decided to create my own!  So, using my computer, I created the hearts, printed it on Hamilco paper using a laser printer, and foiled it using my Minc machine.  It ended up perfect for this card.

To make this card, I used:
  • Gina K - Master Layouts 1 and 2, Small and Large Circle Dies
  • Art Impressions - Valentines Critters
  • Versamark
  • Stampendous Detail White Embossing Powder
  • Various Copic Markers
  • Heidi Swapp - Red Minc Foil
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
To make the card, I first created the background, (creating the hearts, printing on a laser printer and foiling).  The foiled heart background was then cut with one of the dies from Master Layouts 2, and the black mat from the same set.  This was then added on the card base.  The porcupine was stamped with Memento ink on Neenah solar white paper, and colored with various colors of Copic Markers.  The image was then cut using one of the small circle dies.  The black mat was cut with the associated large circle die. Using foam tape this was then attached to the card base.  The sentiment was stamped using Versamark, Embossing Powder added and heat set.  This was then added to the card with foam tape as well, to complete the card.

Scripty Butterfly Birthday Card

I saw a similar card on Pinterest, and decided to try it using the supplies I had on hand.  Here is the card that I ended up making:

I used the following for the card:
  • Gina K - Ink - Blue Raspberry, Black Onyx, Grass Green
  • Versamark
  • Stampendous - Detailed Gold Embossing Powder
  • Altenew - Birthday Greeting stamp set
  • Gina K - Beautiful Butterflies stamp and die set
  • Recollections- Scripty background stamp
  • Gina K - Small Rectangle Die
  • Gina K - Master Layouts 1
  • Darice - Embossing Folder
To make the card, I stamped the Scripty background stamp on white card stock with Versamark.  Gold embossing powder was added and heat set.  Using blender brushes, I added green and blue ink to the image.  This was then cut with one of the small rectangle dies.  The butterfly was stamped on white card stock with black onyx ink.  Using blender brushes, green and blue ink was added to the image.  The butterfly was then die cut.  White card stock was die cut using the largest die from Master Layouts 1.  The sentiment was added to the lower corner, and the entire piece embossed with the Darice embossing folder.  This was then added to the card base using foam tape to provide some dimension.  The scripty rectangle was added near the top.  The butterfly was added last, only using adhesive along the body portion to complete the card.

Gina K - The Best Flowers Birthday Card

Here is a card made using the Best Flowers stamp set from Gina K:

To make this card,  I use the following:

  • Gina K - Thick Brush Stencil
  • Gina K - Large and Small Oval Dies
  • Gina K - Master Layouts 1
  • Gina K - The Best Flowers stamp and die set
  • Gina K - Ink - various colors
  • Stampendous - Detail White Embossing Powder
  • Versamark
To make the card, I added the green color through the stencil onto white card stock.  I then die cut the background and the black mat using the Master Layouts 1 dies.  The ovals were cut using the Large and small oval dies.  The flower and several of the leaves were stamped on white card stock with Versamark.  White embossing powder was added and heat set.  Color was added to the leaves and the flower using blending brushes.  These images were then die cut using the associated dies.  The sentiment was stamped to the bottom of the oval, and the flower and leaves arranged at the top.  The oval was then added to the stenciled background.  The entire piece was added to the card base to complete the card.
