Dragonfly Birthday (Gina K)

I needed a more masculine birthday card, and the stamp set from Gina K - The Wetlands 2 worked great!  I added Wink of Stella to the wings, although it didn't show well in the photo.

I used the following for the card:
  • Gina K - Master Layouts 1
  • Gina K - The Wetlands 2 stamp set
  • Gina K - Black Onyx ink
  • Wink of Stella - Clear
  • Versamark
  • Stampendous Detail Black Embossing Powder
  • Distress Ink - Lucky Clover, Mermaid Lagoon
To make the card, I stamped the images on white card stock with black ink.  I then re-stamped with Versamark.  Black embossing powder was then added and heat set.  The background was then done using blender brushes with the distress ink.  The image and black mat were then cut using Master Layouts 1. These are added to the card base.  Wink of Stella was added to the wings to complete the card.

Crazy Dogs Birthday Card.

A Birthday card for a dog loving friend.  The sentiment doesn't show well in the picture.

To make this card, I used the following:
Xpress It Foil Deco Tape
Copic Markers
Versamark
Wow Metallic Platinum Embossing Powder
Wink of Stella - Clear
Glossy Accents
Memento Tuxedo Black
Tim Holtz - Crazy Dogs Stamps and Dies, Crazy Things Stamps and Dies and Crazy Talk Stamps
Pssst Sheer Shimmer Spritz - Silver

To make the card, the images were stamped, with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, then cut with the matching dies.  The images were then colored with a variety of Copic Markers.  The card base was then prepared, using a strip of Deco foil tape along the edge.  The background was then sprayed with the Pssst Sheer Shimmer Spritz.  The images were then added to the card.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark, and the embossing powder added and heat set.  The balloons and ribbons on the presents were colored with Wink of Stella to add a bit of glitter.  Glossy Accents was then added to the balloons to complete the card.

Birthday Starburst Card

I've seen several Starburst cards on Pinterest.  I thought it would be a great way to use up some scraps.  Turns out its a very easy and quick card to make.  Here is my version of a Starburst card.

This card is 4 x 5.5.  To make the Starburst, I cut strips of card stock into rectangles that were 1.5 x 4 inches.  These were then cut diagonally into triangles.  I then places these on the card base so that the pints of the triangles meet in the middle of the card.

The stamp is from the Close to My Heart Cricut Artiste stamp set, colored with Copics (B45 and E27).  Wink of Stella Clear Glitter brush was used for the frosting.

Snowman Spinner Thank You Card

I found the instructions on how to make a spinner card from this web site http://www.jakheath.com/2008/08/snowflake-spinner-tutorial.html and decided to give it a try!

This card is 4 x 5.5.  I used Copic markers and Wink of Stella Clear glitter brush on the stamped image.  Spellbinders dies were used to cut the circle in the card, the image and scalloped circle.   A bit of ribbon was added, and the Thank You sentiment added on top of the ribbon.
