Anniversary Card

Here is a card I made for my parents anniversary.  The card is 5.5 x 4.25, and is a top fold card.

I used the following to make the card:
  • Elizabeth Craft Designs Assorted Words - 343
  • Cricut Art Philosophy
  • Memento Ink - Bamboo Leaves, Paris Dusk, Rhubarb Stalk, Sweet Plum
  • EZ-Des Nine Patch Set A
  • 1" Square punch
  • Candi pop dots
  • KellyCraft Get-it-Straight Laser Square
To make the card:
  1. Using the 1" square stamps, stamp a variety of images with the Memento ink
  2. Cut the squares out with the square punch
  3. Cut a dark red piece of card stock to 5.25x4"
  4. Using the Laser Square, attach the stamped squares to the red card stock.
  5. Cut 2 hearts from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  The white heart at 2.5", and the dark red heart at 2.25".
  6. Attach the two hearts together and add the Happy Anniversary sentiment
  7. Using the Candi Pop Dots, add the heart to the card.

My first Shaker Card

I've recently seen many shaker cards and decided to make one.  The card is 5.5 x 4.25.

I used the following to make the card:
  • Mama Elephant Make a Wish stamp set
  • Stampendous Detailed Silver and Gold embossing power
  • Spellbinders circle die
  • Various colored sequins
  • Martha Stewart Iridescent Hearts and Stars glitter
To make the card:
  1. For the front of the card, cut a piece of patterned paper to 5.5 x 4.25.
  2. Using the Spellbinders circle dies, select a die that is large enough for the stamp.  Decide where to cut the circle on the pattern paper, and cut the circle.
  3. Stamp the sentiment on the card front (I used the pattern paper as a template as to where to stamp)
  4. Back the circle with acetate.
  5. From the Make a Wish stamp set, randomly stamp stars with Versamark, and emboss with gold and silver.
  6. Using foam tape, tape around the circle, making sure that there are no gaps (or the sequins and glitter will fall out!)
  7. I added the sequins and glitter to the card front, making sure that they were clustered around the sentiment
  8. Line up the patterned patter to the front of card and attach it firmly.
  9. Since it seemed that there was more needed to the front of the card, I added some additional sequins.
