Mothers Day with Hero Arts

Here is another card that I made for Mothers Day:

For this card I used:
Hero Arts CG403 - Large Flower Background
Versamark
Distress Markers - Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Forest Moss, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters
Recollections Pesto Embossing Powder
Stampendous Detailed White Embossing Powder

To make the card, I stamped the background image with Versamark, added the Detailed White embossing powder and heat set.  The flowers and leaves were then colored with the Distress Markers.  Once complete, I carefully wiped off any of the ink on the embossing.  The sentiment was stamped on vellum with Versamark, and the Pesto Embossing powder added and heat set.  The strip of vellum was then added to the image and the entire piece added to the card base.

Last Easter Card for 2015

Here is another Easter card made this year.  This card is 4.25 x 5.5.

For this card I used:
Memento Tuxedo Black and London Fog
Copic Markers Y06, Y15, Y17, R21, R81, G21, G24
Sheer Shimmer Spritz - Sparkle
Pan Pastels 956.5 - Pearlescent Green, 953.5 - Pearlescent Red, 951.5 - Pearlescent Yellow
Greenhouse Society - Tulips stamp
Close to My Heart - Just to Say stamp

To make the card, I randomly added the Pan Pastels to white card stock (cut to 2 x 4).  These were then sealed.  A third piece of white card stock was cut to 3.5 x 2.5. Using my MISTI, I stamped the Tulips with London Fog, and then colored them with Copic Markers.  The image was then spritzed the Sheer Shimmer.  This gave the final image a sparkly look to match the Pan Pastels.  All three images were then matted with yellow card stock and added to the card base.  The sentiment from Just to Say was added (again lined up using the MISTI).

Easter with Lawn Fawn

When I saw these stamps I knew I had to have them for Easter.  They arrived just in time for me to make several cards for family.

To  make the card, I stamped the images, then colored with Copic Markers.  I then cut the images with the matching dies.  The grass was cut twice.  The background was cut with the Stitched Rectangles die.  All of the images were then added to the background, and then it was added to the card base.

To  make the card, I stamped the images, then colored with Copic Markers.  I then cut the images with the matching dies.  The background was cut with the Stitched Circles die, using double sided card stock.  The center circle was then flipped to the back side of the card stock.  All of the images were then added to the background, and then it was added to the card base.

To  make the card, I stamped the basket and bunny, then colored with Copic Markers.  I then cut the images with the matching dies.  The background was cut with the Stitched Squares die, and then acetate was added to cover the square.  The background of the shaker area was stamped and colored with Copic markers.  Foam tape was used around the square opening and the glitter and sequins added.  The background of the shaker was added and then the entire thing added to the card base.  The basket and bunny were then added to the card.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



Penny Black Garden Chair - Take 2

Using the Garden Chair stamp, I decided to try water coloring the stamp with the Distress Markers, in almost a no-line fashion . The card is 4.25 x 5.5.

I used the following to make the card:

• Distress Markers - Pine Needles, Mustard Seed, Vintage Photo, Squeezed Lemonade, Pumice Stone, Dusty Concord, Worn Lipstick, Ripe Persimmon, Storm Sky, Gathered Twigs, Spiced Marmalade, Forest Moss, Old Paper
• Memento Tuxedo Black
• Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles

To make the card, I stamped the image with Old Paper on water color paper.  I chose Old Paper, because I wanted light to no lines showing on the final image.  I then used the distress markers and a water brush to color the image.  It was the first time I had tried this, and I liked the results (although I need a bit of practice).  Once dry, I used one on the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut the image, and it was added to the card base.  The sentiment was then added to the card.

I purchased this stamp at a yard sale, and finally decided to use it.  The card is 4.25 x 5.5.

To make the card, I colored the stamp with the variety of Distress Markers.  Once completed, I spritzed it a few times with water, and then stamped in on water color paper.  The image was then cut with one of the Stitched Rectangles die.  This was then added to the card base, and the sentiment stamped.

By the Tide Birthday Card

Here is a card I made using Stampin' Up By the Tide stamp set that I've had for a while, but never used. 

This card is 4.25 x 5.5 and was made with the following:

• Stampin' Up - By the Tide stamp set
• Close to My Heart - Joyful Birthday Occasions stamp set
• Memento - Teal Zeal and London Fog
• Versamark
• Zing Clear Embossing Powder
• Grumbacher Miskit Friskit
• Simon Says Stamp - Stitched Rectangles

To make the card, I stamped the fish from By the Tide with Teal Zeal Memento Ink.  I then masked the fish with Misket Frisket.  Once dry, the kelp/sea weed was stamped with Memento London fog.  The Misket was then removed. The Sentiment is from Close to My Heart and was stamped with the Teal Zeal.

The image was cut using a Stitched Rectangle die.  This was matted to a piece of silver card stock that was also cut with a larger Stitched Rectangle die.  The card base was stamped using the kelp/sea weed and Versamark.  This was then embossed with clear embossing powder.  The image was then added to the card base.

Copic Colored Lighthouse

Here is a card that I made on a cold day.  Reminded me of warmer weather!

This card is 4.25 x 5.5.  To make this card I used:

• Wink of Stella - Clear

To make the card, I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  I then colored the image with the Copic Markers.  For the background of the image, I used B0000.  I used the wink of Stella on the metal of the walkway, flagpole and the water.

The image was then cut with the Stitched Rectangles die.  This was then mounted on blue card stock which was also cut with a larger Stitched Rectangles die.  The entire piece was mounted to the front of a gray card base.
