Love is all you need

This anniversary card reminds me of sunsets in the Caribbean!

I used the following to make the card:

To make the card, I added the sunset colors to a white card base by using blending brushes.  The images were then stamped in black, and the sentiment added.  The image was cut with Master Layouts 2, along with a black mat.  These were then added to a peach card base to complete the card.

I enjoyed doing Kendra's Card Challenge #11 so much, I decided to do another older one.  This time I used Autumn papers for the cards.  One of the card designs actually made 2 cards!  Here are the cards I made:

My 15 cards from Kendra's Card Challenge #11

When I saw the information for Kendra's Card Challenge, I thought that it would be a great way to make several cards.  I decided to use some patterned paper I had purchased several years ago from Gina K Designs.  At the time you could get both the patterned paper and coordinating cardstock which made using this paper even better for me, because you see, I purchased everything but had never used it!

A lilac sunflower? Of course!

Does a sunflower need to be yellow?  I don't think so! Even though the stencil used is called Spectacular Sunflower, I think it could be any type of flower and therefore any color.

To make the card I used:

• Gina K Designs - Light Lilac, Medium Lilac, Sandy Beach, Kraft, Black Onyx Inks

To make the card, I used the stencil, ink and blending brushes to create the Sunflower.  Since the Sunflower is a layered stencil, I started with the lighter inks, and moved to the darker inks.  The flower was then cut with ML 1, along with the black mat.  These were then added to a white card base.  Since I wanted the word 'happy' to match the flower, I added some Light Lilac to white paper using a blending brush and then cut the 'happy' word die from it.  The shadow for the word was cut from black card stock.  These were then added to the card.  The word Birthday was stamped below the Happy to complete the card.

Using Waste Foil

I recently purchased the Lush Leaves  Stencil Mates from Gina K Designs.  i foiled the lush leaves and just fell in love with the waste foil!  I knew I needed to make a card with it.

I used the following to make the card:

• Therm O Web - Deco Foil Emerald Watercolor Toner Foil
• Glitter Ritz - Cool Highlight Micro fine glitter
• Gina K Designs - Master Layouts 1
• Gina K Designs - Black Onyx Ink
• Gina K Designs - Enjoyable Greetings
• Sookwang Double Sided Tape

To make the card, I added the Sookwang tape to a piece of  white card stock.  Once the tape was exposed, I carefully added the waste foil.  The foil backer sheet was removed.  Since the leaf outlines were still exposed tape, I covered them with micro fine glitter.  This piece was then cut with ML 1, along with a gold mat.  These were then added to a green card base.  The center oval, and mat were also cut with ML 1 and attached to the card.  The sentiment was then stamped to complete the card.

Sunflower Birthday Card

My niece loves sunflowers, so when the Sunflower stencil from Gina K Designs was introduced, I knew it would make a perfect birthday card for her.   

To make the card, I used:

• Gina K Designs - Sweet Corn, Prickly Pear, Honey Mustard, Kraft, Warm Cocoa, Dark Chocolate Inks
• Altenew - Birthday Greetings

To make the card, I used the stencil, ink and blending brushes to create the Sunflower.  Since the Sunflower is a layered stencil, I started with the lighter inks, and moved to the darker inks.  The sentiment was then added using the darkest ink.  The flower was then cut with ML 1, and a coordinating mat was also cut.  These were then added to a white card base to complete the card.

A Gardeners Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card for a Gardener.

To make the card, the card base was created with white card stock.  The sun was stenciled on a piece of white paper and cut with Master Layouts 7.  The associated black mat was cut from ML 7 and added to the card base.  The sun panel was then added.  The grass was cut from green card stock using Master Layouts 6 and added to the sun panel.  The wheel barrel was stamped and die cut using the associated die.  The wheel barrel was colored with Prismacolor pencils and added to the card.  The sentiment was stamped to complete the card.
